Microwave Safety!!

If your kids are like mine, they learn the buttons on the microwave pretty quickly. My three year old knows which buttons to push to get his popcorn to pop perfectly. So I thought I’d toss out some safety tips for this handy appliance as well!
- Be sure you know what types of dishes can, and cannot, be used safely in the microwave
- Have an adult review correct microwave procedures with you
- If you can’t comfortably reach a microwave, ask an adult for help. never stand on a stool
- Don’t stand in front of microwave while it’s in operation
- Use hot pads to remove the dishes from the microwave
- Keep your face back and turned away when you open covered dishes
